New Residential Project - Le St-François, Trois-Rivières

Olymbec presents: Le St-François

Built on the very foundation of “l’église paroissiale” this new 3 storey residential building will add 30 new units to the St-François d’Assise district. Naturally, this project meets all of the requirements that the Ville de Trois-Rivières set our for the revitalization of this sector. The extrior will be clad with beige bricks matching the look of the church, accentuated with red bricks.  The doors and windows will be black, balconies will have glass pannel guards. The interior offers 9 foot ceilings, concrete floors, secured entry and sprinklers. The kitchens, laboratory style, will be modern and functional. Large 3½, 4½ and 5½ units up to 1,350 square feet will be offered. The 3½ units will start at $495/month. New parking spaces and landscaping complete this project. Occupancy is scheduled for July 2012.

Just a few steps from the downtown core makes Le St-François an ideal location for the urban tenant seeking a new and affordable place to call home. Neighbour to an elementary school, the Centre Landry, du Parc Des Pins, a bike trail and the Technoparc, this project is right for your modern lifestyle. Combining both a desirable location and an affordable rate, a rare offering in the Trois-Rivières market.

Towards 1910, after the opening of key factories such as Wabasso Cotton and the St-Maurice foundry, the need for an expanded  community gave birth to the St-François d’Assise district. With the arrival of new people, work on a new church began in 1928. As funds were insufficient at the time and the Great Depression was at its highest, only the crypt was built. From 1951 to 1953, the church was re-built with a new foundation as the existing one was deemed inadequate. This building remained incomplete as only the crypt was usable, becoming ever more popular, gatherings in the basement location grew. Due to various mergers over time, the St-Francois d’Assise church closed its doors in 2008. In 2011, Olymbec purchased  the church foundations, breating new life into this project.

Olymbec is proud to be a major contributor to the revitalization of this district. At last, Olymbec is offering 30 priviledged, the chance to say: “Le St-François, It’s my choice!”
